PURCHASE HEALTH PARTNERS

Purchase Health Partners (PHP) is a not for profit membership corporation created in 1996 in response to local business and industry request for a regional network. PHP is wholly owned by Baptist Health System as of July 1, 2019.

PHP is a non-exclusive regional network primarily serving the Purchase Area and Massac County in Illinois and currently has approximately 600 providers including, but not limited to, physicians, nurse practitioners, chiropractors, and physical therapists and includes Baptist Health Paducah. The network provides insurance carriers, TPAs and self-funded employers easy access to a credentialed network of providers thereby helping to reduce administrative expense. Credentialing is done through Purchase Health Partners.

PHP operates according to a messenger model which permits providers to select individually the contracts in which they wish to participate.

Existing Contracts

PHP is currently contracted with BeechStreet, Center Care/Aetna/Cigna, Choice Care, First Health/Coventry Group Health , First Health/Coventry Workmans Comp, Healthlink, Mennonites, Health Alliance and Multiplan/PHCS.
